Tourism and Foundation department carried out a Ugadi celebration on Nagayya Kalaksheter on Sunday.
The Sumit Kumar district collector lit up the traditional lamp and inaugurated the celebrations, while the superintendent of the police (SP) manicant Chandol was also present. The collector dealt with the assembly and emphasized the importance of preserving the traditions and respect of the elders, while the SP attracted parents to give their children the language skills of Telugu.
The district income officer (Dro) K. Mohan Kumar said that the Department of Tourism, Foundation and Education played a key role in the successful organization of Ugadi celebrations.
The Ugadi festivities emphasized the cultural heritage and the sloppy heritage of Telugus. Vedic scholar Chilakamarthi Venkata subbarao from Kanipakam Varasiddhi vinayaka devasthanam made “Panchanga sravanam”
A symposium was organized that thought about the literary perfection of the empire of Vijayanagar under King Krishna Devaraya. Significant personalities from literary circles emphasized the importance of the language of Telugu. Youth and students sang “Jai Telugu Thalli” and showed their admiration and respect for the mother tongue. Students from various private and government schools in Chittoor have conducted a number of cultural programs.
On this occasion, the collector and SP felted some of the leading poets, scientists and scientists. They also distributed prizes and certificates to students who participated in cultural activities.
