Police Codigenahali in the Tumacur district arrested a Gram member Panchayat for alleged mowing villagers with their SUV in BroadDaylight in the bus booth Ponahalli after the trivial row on Wednesday (September 10, 2025).
The deceased, Anand (42), a private employee of the company, had a TIFF with Ramakrishná, a collector of water, after confronting him over the head and wasting water during his routine work. “The neighbors calmed the duo and after Ramakrishn left the place, Anand reportedly followed him and confronted Ramakrishn,” the police said.
Nagesh, son of Ramskrishny and a Gram member Panchayat, who reached the space, reportedly chopped the pineapple with his vehicle and killed him on the spot. On the basis of an eyewitness complaint and a relative of the police, the police accused Nagesha for murder and arrested him.
The family, relatives, other members of the Anand community protested against the required legal action against Ramakrishno and his wife for inciting murder. The villagers said that accusations and deceased belong to another caste and had differences from ages, which led to murder. The villagers also demanded the State Minister of the Interior to ensure strict steps against the accused because it is his constituency.
