Members of the Grameens of Kořemikar Sangha (Grakoos) organized a taluk taluk protest on Monday in front of the Belagavi Taluk Taluk Office and demanded work under Mnrega.
Demonstrators, mostly women, sat in dharana in front of the TP office until late afternoon. Their requirements included the issue of nominal collected roles for all workers looking for work until the upper limit of working days or against demand, increasing the daily wage to 370 GBP, release of travel contribution, release payments on Kayak Bandh or group heads, and group heads, and all jobs in all jobs.
Officers received a memorandum and made sure they would look at their requirements. Convelor Vishweshvarayya Hiremath, Bharati Tayi and others were present.
