ARVIND Kumar, a special main secretary (disaster proceedings) said on Saturday that the state government would take all measures to prevent the basin and areas susceptible to floods downstream from the Nirmal district.
During a visit to the areas susceptible to immersion and the project, the main secretary reviewed the functioning of Crest gates and the release and mechanism of flood control. District collector Abhilasha Abhinav, deputy commander of the national strength of the reaction to Damodar Singh disasters and others accompanied him during the visit.
The district collector reported a special main secretary about the situation of the dam, which occurred due to problems when lifting project gates on a sharp and sudden increase

Mr. Kumar suggested that the authorities take all measures that could prevent the repetition of such dangerous scenarios. He assured them that the government would set up an improved flood alarm system in areas susceptible to immersion, especially in the villages of 10-12 in Gaddam and Dastubad Mandals, which face immersion during a flood of the river or release a high volume of floods from the project. He also submitted several project maintenance proposals, especially its gates.
The review was attended by another collector Faizan Ahmed, Ratna Kalyani revenue officer, Ravinder chief engineer, Executive engineer Vittal, Tahsildars Prabhakar and Sarfaraz, Mandal Parisad Arnuna Development Officer.
