Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that the ‘Create in India’ mission will be launched at the AI ​​Impact Summit. This initiative is aimed at strengthening the industry, creating jobs and preparing a talent pool ready for the future.

Speaking at India’s AI Impact Summit, Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw was quoted by ANI as saying, “Very soon, the government will launch the ‘Create in India’ mission, which will be an industry, employment and future-focused mission. It will focus on strengthening what we have, ensuring that we become the most preferred platform for the world and create a future-ready talent pool…”

“Artificial intelligence should not have a diluting but complementary effect on our lives. Many developed countries look at it as a benchmark,” he added.

Vaishnaw on AI job threat

Amid lingering fears of AI replacing human roles, Minister Vaishnaw also discussed the impact of AI on jobs and its adoption in India, saying, “The talent pool being created in India is high. There is natural growth and we are supporting it.”

Responding to the announcement made in Budget 2026 regarding content creation labs, the Minister said, “In Budget 2026, we announced content creation labs in 15,000 schools. Is AI a threat to innovation?

Speaking about concerns that AI threatens innovation, Vaishnaw said that it is common knowledge today that AI is here to stay. He is not a threat to the human narrative; it’s an opportunity to grow, Vaishnaw said. AI will not replace creativity; it will coexist with it, added the minister.

“Adapting to new technology is like a fish taking to water,” Vaishnaw said.

He also noted: “At the same time, AI must evolve alongside a strong copyright and intellectual property framework. Any system that protects human creativity, respects the value creators bring to their work, and encourages innovation rather than diluting it is a good system.”

On the importance of AI adoption, he said, “We are very focused on AI diffusion and AI adoption. We make sure that productive gains will come in both creative industries and other industries. We look forward to many more collaborations and expect win-win situations.”
