
The government sanctioned 66 Lakh for strengthening the drainage network of the campus and the reconstruction of part of the inheritance block to Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam.
Both work is expected to start by the end of next week because the suppliers have launched the website. Of the 66 ₹ Lakh, 42 ₹ Lakh was earmarked to improve the campus network.
The work included solving the problem of waterlogging in the central circle in the area. According to the authorities, the gaps in the drainage network will be connected as part of the project that is carried out by the Department of Public Work (PWD).
Approximately 24 MAKH was set aside for the first phase of renovation of buildings of inheritance, which are decades of decades. Most of these structures remain in a dilapidated state and require immediate renovation.
PWD found that cracks were formed to leak water from the toilet in these old buildings. The roofs of many structures also required urgent renovation. The overhanging branches of trees near these structures represented the threat to the inheritance buildings.
Part of the roof of the Ministry of Malayalam came in, which was detected after a holiday onam. The authorities stated that a proposal of 8.5 GBP Lakh will be submitted to solve the problem.
