The Andhra Pradesh government has announced a special Christmas gift for pastors. The government on Wednesday released an amount of ₹50.50 crore for 8,418 pastors for the period from December 2024 to November 2025, following Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s assurance that the monthly honorarium for them would be credited in time for the festival. Each pastor will receive a total of ₹5,000 monthly honorarium for ₹6,000 for 12 months, a press release said.
