
In a major development, the state government has ordered the shifting of 39 offices functioning in private buildings on lease basis in the fringe area of GHMC to government buildings.
Therefore, the offices of the Department of Energy, Environment and Forests, functioning from different premises, will be shifted to Tuljaguda Complex of Telangana Housing Board. The Revenue (Endowments) and Revenue (Stamps and Registration) offices will be located in the same building at Mozzamjahi Market.
Food and Civil Supply offices of Malakpet, Yakutpura and Charminar circles will be shifted to Chandravihar building of Telangana Housing Board. Chandravihar will also accommodate various offices of the Youth Development, Tourism and Culture Department, which currently operates from the NCC Group headquarters in Secunderabad.
The Revenue (Commercial Taxes) divisional offices functioning at Abids, Punjagutta and Secunderabad will be shifted to Manoranjan Complex owned by Telangana Housing Board in Secunderabad, while the Begumpet divisional office will be shifted to T-Hub building near Raidurg. The Finance Department offices functioning at Tarnaka, Chandrayangutta, Motigalli and Narayanguda will now function from Gruhakalpa Building in Nampally, while the Revenue Department Sub-Registrar offices at SR Nagar and Balanagar will be shifted to the Health Department premises at Vengalraonagar.
The government also announced the shifting of the offices of the Director (Electronics), MD (T-Fibre) and General Manager (T-Works) to the NAC campus and the offices of the Revenue (Prohibition and Excise) department will start functioning at the station from the R&B office premises at Errum Manzil.
Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao asked the Administrative Officers of the Secretariat to issue suitable instructions to the Heads of Departments to ensure the shifting of offices.
