
The state government approved a special Crore package for agricultural departments 3 ₹ Crore to get Paddy from “Paadasekharams” in Kuttanad, which was hit by the ingress of salt water, said Minister of Agriculture P. Praad on Thursday.
The owners of the mills refused to raise the harvested unpeeled with citing poor quality and forced the government to come up with a solution. Then the government inserted indias in the oil palm for obtaining unpeeled. The prize will determine the Department of Agriculture to assess the quality of unpeeled and the director of agriculture.
The director of agriculture was also entrusted with the evaluation of the scope of crop damage.
Almost 70 “Paadasekharams” in the village of Alappuzha, Punnapra North, Thakazhi, Karuvatta, AmbbalAppuzha South, Nedumudi, Kainakari quality unpeeled and yield, Prusad said.
When the harvested paddy harvested did not achieve fair average quality (FAQ) in accordance with the minimum supporting price/public distribution system (MSP/PDS), the unpeeled orders have come into difficulty.
It was also decided that the quantum of non -peeling, which meets the FAQ requirement, would be obtained by Keral State Civil Supplies Corporation (Supplyco) according to the current public procurement mechanism.
