“The Council for Acquisitions of Defense, under the Presidency of Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh, 3 July 2025, adopted the acceptance of the necessity (AON) for 10 proposals for the acquisition of capital of approx. £1.05 Lakh Crore via indigenous source, ”the Ministry of Defense said in its official statement.
The acceptance of the necessity (AON) or the need for these designs is for defense equipment such as awarding orders of armored vehicles for recovery, electronic war system, integrated common inventory control system for tri-services and surface missiles.
“These contracts will provide higher mobility, efficient air defense, better supply chain management and expand the operational readiness of the armed forces,” the Ministry of Defense said in an official statement.
