
Andhra Pradesh Governor and Rayalaseema University Chancellor S. Abdul Nazeer on Wednesday urged students to serve society by using education for public good.
Addressing the 4th convocation of the university, the governor noted that contributing to nation building is the prime duty of every educated individual. He emphasized the need for students to master emerging fields such as artificial intelligence and quantum computing to help achieve the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
The Governor presented gold medals and degrees to students of various PG and PhD programs and conferred an honorary doctorate on Indian Oil Corporation Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President SSV Ramakumar.
Vice-Chancellor V. Venkata Basava Rao presented a progress report of the university while APSCHE Chairman Madhu Murthy, Collector Kurnool A. Siri, Superintendent of Police (SP) Vikrant Patil and several faculty members were present.
