A delegation of 33 students from Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh arrived at the Indian Institute of Management-Kozhikode (IIM-K) as part of the exchange leg of the Union Government’s ‘Yuva Sangam’ initiative.
A leading B-school in Kerala has tied up with the Indian Institute of Management-Jammu for a student exchange program under Yuva Sangam Phase VI, organized as part of the Education Ministry’s ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ campaign.
Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar will address the Yuva Sangam delegation at IIM-K on Monday (June 1, 2026).
Debashis Chatterjee, director of IIM-K, said the program offers an opportunity for “young ambassadors from Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh to explore the cultural and social richness of Kerala over the next few days”.
“This exchange program will encourage young minds to share with us the enlightening aspects of their home state and strengthen ties across regions while bringing the nation together through this cultural immersion,” he added.
The visiting delegation consists of 18 female and 15 male participants, including undergraduates, graduates, postgraduates and out-of-school youth. The delegation is accompanied by three faculty members and staff from IIM-Jammu.
The host institute, IIM-K, put together an intensive seven-day itinerary for the visiting delegates covering all the five Ps, Paryatan (tourism), Parampara (tradition), Pragati (development), Paraspar Sampark (people-to-people connection) and Prodyogiki (technology), identified under the Yuva Sangam programme. Places scheduled to be visited include Tali Mahashiva Temple, ICAR-Indian Institute of Spices Research, Mavoor Backwaters, Regional Science Center and Planetarium, Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary, Sargaalaya Kerala Arts and Crafts Village and National Institute of Technology-Calicut.
Earlier, a 39-member delegation from Kerala and Lakshadweep, led by IIM-K faculty and staff, visited Jammu as part of the programme.
