Governor Jishnu Dev Verma will inaugurate the Telangana Global Rising Summit-2025 on the afternoon of December 8, which will be followed by a keynote address by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said.
Describing the summit as a landmark initiative to attract investment and secure Telangana’s economic future, the Deputy Chief Minister called upon all stakeholders to work together for its success and assured that logistical challenges, including connecting airlines, would be addressed. If necessary, special flights will be arranged for key participants.
The Deputy Prime Minister announced that 154 delegates from 44 countries from six continents, including 46 representatives from the United States, had confirmed their participation in the summit. Invitations were extended to all political parties in the state and officials delivered them personally.
Addressing a press conference along with Industries and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu at Praja Bhavan here on Saturday, Mr. Bhatti Vikramarka said that the Telangana government would hold a summit on December 8 and 9 at Bharat Future City. He emphasized that the event is a purely economic summit aimed at charting a plan to achieve $3 trillion economy for Telangana by 2047.
The Telangana Rising Vision 2047 document will be released on the second day of the event, Mr. Vikramarka said, adding that the entire state cabinet had cooperated in drafting the vision document and expressed satisfaction over the organization of the event. He added that world-renowned economists and thought leaders are to participate in the summit.
Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shiva Kumar, Nobel Laureate Abhijit Banerjee, Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi, Trump Media & Technology Group Director Eric Sweder, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw and several other dignitaries will be speaking on the inauguration day. World Economic Forum President and CEO Borge Brende will attend the summit virtually. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu will also address the event.
The summit will feature several ministerial sessions from 15:00 to 16:00 with ministers, principal secretaries and subject matter experts. Similar sessions will continue on December 9 from 9:00 a.m., the ceremony is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
