L. Ganesan, Governor of Nagaland and former BJP leader from Tamil Nad, died on Friday (August 15, 2025) at the age of 80 in Chennai.

In 2017, Mr. Ganesan was elected to Rajya Sabha of Madhya Pradesh after the appointment of the then deputy Najm Heptully, as a governor of manipure.
Mr. Ganesan also worked as an editor of Tamil’s BJP naat (One Nation) and was the founding president of Pontramarai (“Golden Lotus”), an organization that deals with the promotion and support of Tamil scholars around the world.
