Governor Odisha Hari Babu Kambampati, who was powered by a strong commitment to reduce fossil fuel consumption, converted most of his official fleet into electric vehicles (EV), and set an ambitious goal to convert Raj Bhawan into an energy campus with a clean zero.
“My goal is to reduce the use of fossil fuel at all levels. So we decided to switch to electric vehicles, which will help not only to reduce our dependence on gasoline and diesel on Saturday, but also on Saturday it deals with a press conference.
Some scooters of two rounds were obtained for Raj Bhawan. Raj Bhawan employees are encouraged to move to EV as part of a special drive to stop the use of fossil fuels.
Mr. Cambhambati urged citizens to receive green energy to reduce pollution, protect the planet, and save the foreign exchange by reducing oil imports.
Similarly, the 150 kilowatt solar power plant is already in operation, while another 400 kilowatts will be installed soon. “The monthly electricity consumption is about 50,000 in Raj Bhawan, while 16,000 units are generated. The days are not far forward when Raj Bhawan feeds on the grid,” said Governor Odisha.
He urged people to use central and state programs that promote the use of solar energy by providing a high subsidy.
Mr. Kambhambati appreciated the government of Odisha for providing another subsidy under the PM Surya Ghar program and stated that more people would encourage solar energy.
On this occasion, the Deputy Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, which holds the energy portfolio, said the state government adopted a source of power in all government buildings from solar energy. Subsequently, solar panels will be installed in all government residential areas.
