The Union government will take strict action against all disruptive forces trying to create disorder in the society, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi said in Dharwad on Sunday (October 11).
“Strict action will be taken against those who insult constitutional institutions, damage public property or create disorder in society. We will not tolerate nonsense in the name of protests. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government will not succumb to threats from any individual or groups. Some Congress leaders are making false allegations against the government. This is due to their anti-national attitude,” the person said and the message will not be tolerated.
“Congress leader Rahul Gandhi made some remarks regarding the investment of American businessman Elon Musk. They are not acceptable. It is a fact that anyone who comes to India to invest or stay must abide by the laws, sovereignty and regulations of the country. There is absolutely no compromise on these principles,” he said.
“Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has made wild allegations of a BJP conspiracy to delete more than 50 lakh names from the electoral rolls. These are baseless. The deletion of names of deceased persons and duplicate or fake entries was a legal process carried out in accordance with established procedures through tahsildars, assistant commissioners, deputy commissioners and the governor.”
Earlier, the Union Minister addressed the West Graduates Constituency Electoral Meeting at JSS College, Dharwad. He also spoke for BJP candidate SV Sankanur in Hubballi at a similar campaign meeting.
He urged all educational institutions to prioritize academic reforms and focus on the quality of teaching and learning.
He emphasized the need to improve the country’s education system, improve academic standards and provide students with better opportunities in higher education.
“Education is the foundation of national development and creation of a skilled human resource base. Educational institutions should adapt to the changing times and equip students with knowledge, skills and research capabilities that would enhance their employment prospects,” he said. “The national education policy is aimed at ensuring the development of higher education and emphasizes the need to provide quality education and better academic opportunities,” he said.
He said Mr. Sankanur, who was seeking a third consecutive term, was committed to his constituency of alumni and faculty. He said he has worked for decades for graduates and the development of the education sector.
MLA Aravind Bellad, former mayor Iresh Anchatgeri, Karnataka University syndicate member Sanjay Kapatkar and others were present.
