The accumulation, digital banners and labels installed in rural local bodies throughout the state should be regulated.
The draft Act on the Amendment to the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act was submitted on Monday by Minister for the Development of Rurals I. Periyasama in the Assembly.
In this respect, he tried to seize the government because the 172-B section only seized the government to set the rules for exhibiting ads, but not to regulate the installation of accumulation, digital banners and labels.
According to the bill, an officer for the development of the block (Village Panchayats) would receive applications with a license for fees and granting or rejection.
An official for the development of blocks can also cancel or suspend a granted license. The block development official is entitled to entertain and remove any accumulation, digital banner or label installed without the necessary authorization.
The bill also seeks to permit an official for the development of blocks to issue notifications and eventually to remove any accumulation that is found to be dangerous or represent a disturbance of the safe movement of traffic.
