More than hundreds of candidates gathered at the Jharkhand Chief Minister’s residential office in Ranchi on Thursday (December 4, 2025), a day after the Jharkhand High Court ordered the cancellation of the Jharkhand State Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level (JSSC CGL) result and appointment stay.
They expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his wife Kalpana Soren, who is also an MLA.
A division bench of the Jharkhand High Court on Wednesday (December 3, 2025) dismissed a petition seeking the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to probe the alleged leak of question papers of the JSSC CGL examination conducted on September 21 and 22 last year.
Around 6.5000 candidates registered for the JSSC CGL 2023 exam, but only 82000 appeared to have cleared the test. A total of 2231 candidates were selected for the document verification process. Almost 2,025 jobs across various departments will be filled.
“Every aspect of the JSSC CGL exam case was investigated with absolute impartiality, strict action was taken against the culprits, the court respected the impartial investigation and honest efforts and feelings of the candidates and justice was served,” said Mr. Soren told reporters.
He claimed that his government had conducted as many service examinations in the last five years as the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) had conducted in the last 18 years.
Mr. Soren heartily congratulated all the candidates who cleared the exam after a long struggle. He pointed out that if the intentions were good, everything is better.
“If the intentions are good, everything gets better. As a result, all the hurdles related to JSSC CGL exam and recruitment process are now removed. Though there was a slight delay, otherwise we would have celebrated the joy of handing over your appointment letters for the statewide function held on the first anniversary of the state government. However, many congratulations to all of you for long-lasting success and victory,” Mr. Soren said.
He addressed the candidates who had gathered to celebrate with drums and trumpets following the Jharkhand High Court’s order to release the JSSC CGL results and start the recruitment process.
The Chief Minister said that there are some hostile elements in this state who have conspired to disrupt every competitive examination and also tried to conspire about the JSSC CGL examination.
“The matter reached the Supreme Court. However, our government conducted a thorough, impartial investigation. Those who conspired to tarnish the fairness and transparency of this competitive examination have been punished,” said Mr. Soren said.
He also said that allegations of malpractice were reported in several JPSC examinations conducted in the state, but all examinations under the government remained clean.
Giving confidence to the aspirants, Mr. Soren said that his government stands firmly with the youth at every step.
“Our clear vision is that our state will prosper only when the youth are happy. That is why efforts to shape the future of the youth continue despite many challenges,” said Mr. Soren said.
The candidates also expressed confidence in Mr. Soren’s leadership saying that his tireless efforts, impartial investigation into the entire JSSC CGL exam case by the state government and strict action taken against the culprits led to justice.
