Building a new building for government dental university, Alappuzha was completed.
The three -storey building was built at the price of 3.85 GBP Crore in accordance with the standards prescribed by the Indian Dental Council. Officials stated that it is fully equipped with all necessary facilities for learning and training.
The facility includes four classrooms, clinic, investigative hall that can accommodate 50 students at a time, a 500 -seating auditorium, a library and a separate room for heads, teachers, employees and nurses. Classes for students have already been moved to a new building. The official inauguration will take place soon, said the clerk.
The dental university includes nine departments- oral medicine and radiology, dentistry of public health, oral pathology and microbiology, pedodontics and preventive dentistry, periodontics, conservative dentistry and endodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics and pro-ancontics.
The construction of the hostel and the quarters of employees will be completed in the next phase.
