To modernize urban living, the government Andr Pradesh approved the establishment of markets with intelligent street sales markets in seven major cities SRIKALIM, VIJAYAWAD and Kadap.
The initiative, which was implemented through Mepma in Den-zlm (Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Mission Mission), will provide an initiative for 580 retailers for 580 retailers. Each market will include 40 to 200 modular shops equipped with solar energy, free Wi-Fi, digital payment devices and CCTV supervision. The project with estimated costs 26 Crore will be financed through a mixed model of SHG bank loans, support for MEPMA and government contributions.
The main secretary S. Suesh Kumar said that the project aims to “ensure dignity for sellers, comfort for customers and cities”. The priority will be given to women, different and marginalized dealers, with the assignment of transparently carried out through city sales committees.
In addition to infrastructure, the program includes training in hygiene, food and business skills, as well as support for digital marketing and links with electronic trading platforms. Mr. Suresh Kumar said that this initiative will take up nearly 2,500 addicts, promoting sustainable procedures and creating new income flows for municipalities.
