Google Search will soon get the new “AI model” recently discovered in development. Icons that can be used to represent the so-called artificial intelligence (AI) model have been discovered by publications. The latest Google App Beta releases a new icon similar to Gemini Live features. It is said to be a new icon for the AI-driven interface of the mountain view-based technology giant to search for the app. Originally discovered in December 2024, the new tool is said to provide a full-screen interface where users can type complex queries that are difficult for traditional search engines to answer.
Google Search’s AI mode may receive new icons
Android Authority reports that the company can rearrange several icons on the Google App Home interface before introducing the rumored Google Search AI model. The publication discovered a new icon during the Android App Package (APK) detachment of Google App Beta 16.6.23 for Android smartphones.

Currently, Google shows shortcuts for translation, homework and music search options. These can be replaced by three new icons. The second and third icons are for microphones and Google lenses, but the first icon is the new wave shape icon.
According to the report, the new icon has two lines compared to the Gemini Live icon, which is a new feature called Search Live. The name is found in the Google App code. It is speculated that the search site may be a two-way voice conversation feature in the upcoming AI mode. Additionally, it may also be an internal name used to reference the AI pattern.
The final version may be very different given the duplication and inconsistency of icons in the naming, the icons and features may be updated further, and the final version may be very different.
A report earlier this month claimed the tech giant was testing the AI model internally. The company is said to have shared an email with employees inviting them to use and test the feature. It is not clear whether or when the feature will be launched to users.
