
The Uttar Pradesh counter-terrorist team arrested a suspicious Pakistani spy on Sunday, which allegedly participated in smuggling goods across the indication border at work for the Pakistani news agency ISI.
According to the official release of ATS, suspect, identified as Shahzad of Moradabad, illegally transported items such as cosmetics, clothing, spices and other goods.

According to ATS, he used smuggling as an envelope for inter-Service Intelligence (ISI), a Pakistani spy agency. The arrest was announced on Sunday.
“Shahzad has good relations with ISI agents with whom he was in constant touch. Shahzad has shared confidential information about India’s security with ISI agents,” ATS said in a statement.
“After confirming this information, the company was registered according to sections 148 and 152 in ATS, Lucknow. Shahzad was now arrested by UP ATS from Moradabad, which is submitted before the rules and has taken further legal steps,” he added.
ATS also said Shahzad provided money to ISI agents present in India.
“He also sent people from many parts of the district of Rampura and Uttar Pradesh to Pakistan to work for ISI under the pretext of smuggling. ISI also arranged visas of these people. Shahzad also gave Indian ISI agents to spy against India,” he says.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, the CEO of Haryana commented on the CEO (DGP) to Sher Kapoor for the recent arrests of several suspicious spies in Panipat, Kaithal and Hisar districts.
Kapoor said at a press conference that the arrest was carried out after the Sindoor operation, with anti-national elements detained in various Haryana districts.

Shahzad shares confidential information about India’s security with ISI agents.
He said that the arrest was based on the entrances from central and state intelligence agencies and added: “After the Sindoor operation, we had increased vigilance and for the information received from our central agencies and state intelligence agencies, cases were captured in some districts.
