Actor Harshavardini Ranya Rao and Tarun Raju’s Konura were used to declaring gold at the airport in Dubai who claimed to be transferred to Geneva or Bangkok at the same time by reserving tickets for one of these two destination (Used) (Karnataka on Monday.
Interestingly, the duo did not cancel the tickets booked to Geneva or Bangkok on the same terms, even after traveling to India with gold bars, Dri said. Dri also told the court that there were no restrictions as in India that would transfer gold to Geneva or Bangkok.
These submissions were made before S. Vishwajith Shetty, who hears petitions filed by Ranya and Tarun, who are a citizen of the US and resident Hyderabad and are looking for bail in the case of gold smuggling.
Before her marriage, Ranya booked tickets for both by means of a credit card and after marriage put cash in her account to book tickets to travel to Dubai and from Dubai, Dri said.
