Goddess adorned with banknotes on the seventh day of Navaratri celebrations

As part of the ongoing Dasara Navaratri celebrations, Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi was decked with currency notes and worshiped in her Kalaratri avatar on the seventh day at the Sri Mahashakti Temple in Karimnagar on Saturday.

The temple witnessed a large turnout of devotees.

Union Home Minister of State Bandi Sanjay Kumar performed a special puja and participated in the rituals.

Sri Lakshmi Sahasranama Parayanam, spiritual talks and Dandiya program were among the events of the day.

In Khammam, special rituals including Lakshmi Ashtottara Parayanam and Sahasra Kamala Lakshmi Havanam marked the seventh day of Sarannavaratri celebrations at Sri Vasavi Kanyaka Parameshwari Temple in Guttala Bazar.

The temple is celebrating the golden jubilee of its Sarannavaratri festivities under the patronage of its chairman Mellacheruva Venkateshwara Rao.
