
Former head coach India Ravi Shastri appreciated the Indian government led by Narendra Modi in the middle of the growing tension between India and Pakistan. Shastri took X on Friday 9 May and called PM Modi’s goat – the largest of all time. Shastri added that he had never seen the country so united for his life.
The tension quickly escalated on May 8, when Pakistan began attacks of drones and missiles in more places in India. India successfully thwarted attacks and prevented extensive damage and loss of life.

The Pakistani provocation came only a day after India had precise strokes in terrorist camps found in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied by Kashmir, in retaliation to the terrorist attack Pahalgam. When the tension expanded, Pakistan tried to hit the launch of missiles and deploying drones through the line of control and international borders.
Not only Ravi Shastri, but Suryakumar Yadav also took X to publish a special report for the Indian Army. Suryakumar said he was “massively proud” of Indian armed forces and their resistant show against Pakistan.
“Massive proud of our strength and their resistance. You are the reason we remain uninvited, in our homes. A great greeting to your strength and determination when you protect us at the border. Thank you. Jai Hind,” Suryakumar Yadav said.
Meanwhile, the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 was suspended “with an immediate effect for one week,” confirmed Minister Bcci Devayit Saikia in a statement issued on Friday afternoon. This decision comes as a result of the increasing cross -border tension between India and Pakistan and its aim is to prefer the safety and well -being of all involved. While the suspension is temporary, the BCCI assured that the revised schedule would be declared at the “right time”.
