Mandar Manjrekar rested Goa suffered injuries after the group attacked him on Monday after a series of parking in the military camp in Belagavi.
According to his complaint, he was ruthlessly beaten without provocation by a group near the Army Institute in the area of the military camp. He said he was beaten when he tried to move some wheels parked in front of his car.
When he parked his car, the woman whose scooter was moved, he allegedly tried to block the way while her husband shouted, “This way is ours. Who are you?”
They both began to abuse Manjrekar in Marath and English, and said, “This guy is from Goa. Let’s teach him a lesson.”
They beat him. He fell and suffered minor head injuries. The passersby saved him and admitted to the hospital. Filed a complaint. A case was registered.
In February, the former MLA from the Goa Lavoo Mamlatdar died after being attacked by a taxi driver for a parking dispute near the central bus booth N Belagavi.
