
The central administrative tribunal (CAT) remained on Thursday 12 September (GO) on September 12, on the promotion of two IPS officers, Umesh Kumar and Chakravarthy J., to the rank of the CEO (DGP) from the rank of the next CEO (ADGP).
The divisional bench of the cat, which includes S. Sujath (member-judge) and Sanjiv Kumar (member of the members), approved an interim order on the petition submitted by IPS ALOK KUMAR, the highest among ADGPs in the state.
Mr. Alok Kumar challenged the Committee on the Promotion of the Department, which dealt with the promotion of IPS officers at his meeting held on 6 September, for the promotion that was provided to his juniors without considering him.
In May this year, the cat remained announced by the State Government to Mr. Alok Kumar, ADGP (training), which launched a new disciplinary investigation against it on the alleged problem of clicking on the phone and leakage of sound in 2019 in 2019.
However, the divisional bench consisting of BK Shryvatsava (Member-Mountain) and Santosh Mehra (member-administrative administration) of the cat, however, 4 September approved divergent judgments, with a member of which allocated disciplinary proceedings and a member of the law. However, this bench of the division on September 11 explained that the interim order of stay against disciplinary proceedings would continue until the third member decides to petition Mr. Kumar against disciplinary proceedings.
