Robotic machines equipped with high -resolution CCTV have been deployed at key intersections for blockages and precise cleaning.
On Wednesday evening, the main engineer (maintenance) of the Sahadev Ratnakar inspected the operation at the NMDC intersection in Mehdipatnam, where the new technology was used.
According to GHMC, the initiative is to improve drainage efficiency during rains by removing mud and residues and ensuring the safety of workers through strict protocols. The system is designed to reduce water stagnation, protect the low -lying areas from inundation and minimize road disturbances during heavy downs.
GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan said that this initiative reflects the commitment of the company “by intelligent solutions supported by civil challenges”.
“We launched rainwater cleaning with robotic technology as a pilot project in Hyderabad. If it turns out to be successful, incidents overflowing runoffs, traffic jams and floods in low -laid areas will be significantly reduced,” the Commissioner said.
