“During a search early morning in Palmaidan, the body of a Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist, identified as Mohammad Asif alias Hashim Moosa, was recovered along with war stores,” the army said.

The army said the combing operation in the area continued.

Officials said the killing of Moosa is a breakthrough for the security forces as he had remained active in the Pir Panchal Valley of central and south Kashmir for several years. Officials said Moosa coordinated many attacks in the region and was part of a larger LeT group operating in the Kashmir Valley.
