Karnataka Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh has asked for an immediate and impartial probe into alleged irregularities in the recruitment of Public Relations Officer (PRO) at the Central University of Karnataka (CUK), raising concerns about transparency and procedural lapses.
In a letter dated April 10 to Vineet Joshi, Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Government of India, Ms Rajneesh flagged the state government’s “consistent lack of timely information” about University Executive Council (EC) meetings, which she said effectively excluded her and the Principal Secretary (Higher Education) – both members of the EC – from participating in key decisions.
