The Chief of the Army Staff, General Ubendra Dwivedi, conducted interviews with the main military leadership of Algeria with a focus on training exchanges for higher officers, development of common abilities and cooperation with industrial defenses.
General Dwivedi is on an official visit to Algeria – his first overseas engagement since the successful closure of the Sindoor operation. The visit underlines the intention of India to deepen defense links with the African region of Maghreb-Sahel.
According to sources where Algeria works mainly on similar military equipment, the new Delhi is considered to be well placed to support its modernization, training and maintenance needs. Discussions also included defense-industrial routes, such as drone systems and specialized technologies, although no sales agreements were announced.
