The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) has introduced a major upgrade to its e-khata system by integrating it with Urban Property Ownership Records (UPOR) city survey maps and drone-based survey imagery.
This will make property records in Bengaluru more accurate, transparent and easier to verify, officials said.
Special Commissioner (Admin, Revenue and IT) Munish Moudgil said, “The new system combines all key property details in one place, including title documents, photographs, tax information and precise GPS coordinates.
“We rely on accurate GPS mapping to link each property to the correct UPOR map and drone image. It’s painstaking work, but it ensures reliability,” he said.
Under the new integrated system, each e-khata now includes owner information and photo, property details and photo, exact GPS location, digital map of the property along with location image, property tax and usage information, Bescom meter number and document number showing how ownership was acquired.
