
Cashmere: The plaque on the sanctuary of Hazratbar Srinagar was vandalized by unidentified people and the national emblem on Friday was removed stones on the eve of Eid-E-Milad in Kashmir.
The inauguration plaque located inside the Gazratbal Shrine had the national emblem ertied in a stone, which attracted sharp criticism from many local residents and the ruling party JKNC – who said that the location of carved characters on the sanctuary goes against Islam – forbidding idols.
The meaning of the hazratbal shrine
Srinagar’s Hazratbal Shrine is of main importance for all Muslim devotees, especially on the day of Eid-E-Milad, which will be commemorated on Saturday 6 September this year in Kashmir.
On this day, the sacred relic known as moi-e-muqadas-pramen of the Prophet Hair-he depicts the hazratbal shrine in Srinagar to see the believer (Deedar).

Head of BJP and Chairman of the Board of J&K Waqf, dr. Darakshan Andrabi described “the tab of the national emblem” is a “terrorist attack” and claimed that the attackers were Goons political parties.
The leader of J&K K opposition Sunil Sharma also shared similar sentiments and said “it is unfortunate and condemnable.”
“Some people offended the national emblem. This should not be tolerated. The police and the administration should act against these elements,” he said.
