The England of the test series is for Gambhir to maximum importance as for his tenure, India has not found success in the longest format. After 12 years they lost to New Zealand against the home series and were first whitened at home.
In addition, the team also failed to keep the Border-Gavascar trophy in Australia, lost a series of five games by 1-3 and for the first time failed to qualify for the World Test Championship (WTC). A terrible performance led to the main transition in the team because Captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravicandran Ashwin left the tests after the back-to-back series.
Therefore, SHUBMAN GILL will lead the young site in England with Rishabh Pant as his representative. Sai Sudharsan and Arshdeep Singh have won their first test challenge, while Karun Nair and Shardul Thakur returned. Meanwhile, Sarfaraz Khan, Harshit and Mohammed Shami did not find space on the team.
India will have a difficult task to invite England because they recently climbed second in the ICC ranking after the victory over West Indies, Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Zimbabwe in the last 12 months.
