Chief coach India Gautam Gambhir asked fans and critics not to assess a young Indian bowling attack after each test match. India crashed and burned in the Leeds test match and prevented 371 runs in the final shifts. In addition to Jasprit Bumhrah and Mohammed Siraj, to some extent, the rest of the Indian stimulators were an inefficient English team for basbolling.
Gambhir protected the Indian pace of attack after their catastrophic show in Leeds and said that the Group Prasidh Krishna, Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh were inexperienced and needed time to realize its full potential in the red ball format.
“This PACE attack includes one pitch that played four tests (Prasidh Krishna), there is another one who played two tests (Harshit Rana), and one who did not play the test (Arshdeep Singh),” Gambhir said in a press conference after the match.
“Odi doesn’t matter, but touring and Australia are heavy places. It’s like throwing them into the sea. If we start to judge the pitching after each test, how do we develop them?” He added.
India building a long -term battery tempo
The head coach said that India’s fast -mounting pitchs were in their line -up, were extremely talented and would serve the Indian team for a long time if they were supported consistently.
His comments come against the background of a poor test match from Prasidh Krishny, who escaped running to more than 6 for more than and handed over the advantage of the English party. India has Akash Deep, Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh on the bench, which is expected to be called in the next matches.
“If we omit Bumrah and Siraj, there is not much experience in the line -up, but we have to support them because they have talent. They have quality and are therefore in this dressing room. It’s about building a battery that will serve India for a long time. Courtesy: Reuters
SHARDUL THAKUR Bowling only 16 overs
The use of Sharduula Thakura with the ball raised the eyebrows during the test match, with critics commenting on the lack of confidence listed in the veteran versatile. SHARDUL, who had successful tours in England and Australia, previously bowed only 16 exceeding in the test match.
Gambhir said it was an instinct of a captain who gives the versatile less crossing, because Ravindra Jadeja contained runs well from one end.
“Sometimes the captain goes to us with his instincts and Ravindra Jadeja in the first shifts. That was important and we could turn our three stimulations at the other end,” Gambhir said.
“We know the quality of SharDula, and therefore plays for India and is in the dressing room. Just because he is the fourth sailor, it does not necessarily mean that he must be presented in front of the spinner. The captain went by his instinct and depending on the surface we played,” he added.
