Bombay: At least nine people were drowned, while 12 others have been reported missing in various incidents related to the immersion of ganpati idols in the mahara. The ten -day long Grand festival ended on Saturday, Anant Chaturdashi, and the immersion spilled into Sunday.
One person was killed on the Khairani road in Mumbai in the Sakinaka area due to an electric current when Ganesh Idol came into contact with a suspended electric wire.

Other incidents of immersion incidents were reported from the districts of Thane, Pune, Nanded, Nashik, Jalgaon, Washim, Palghar and Amravat, reported on Sunday, informed.
