The Gangaram Block in the Mahabubabad district reached the highest point in the Delta ranking as part of the Aspiational Blocks Program (ABP) and receives CR Crore 3 GBP motivation.
The Gangaram Block is located in one of the most backward areas of the state and ensured the highest position among 500 aspiration blocks in the latest Delta ranking for September-December 2024 released by Niti Aayog. Within the Aspiational Blocks program (ABP), Gangaram Block will receive another CRORE 3 GBP allocation to further increase further development initiatives. Other blocks that will benefit from the program in the State are a cannaigudem block in the Mulug district, which will receive Crore 2 Crore; Block NARVA in the Narayanpet district that receives CRORE 1.5 GBP; and the Pembi block in the Nirmal district, which will receive 1 Crore 1. In order to use these incentives, the proposal of the Action Plan/Project by May 25, 2025 must be submitted by May 25, 2025.
The Aspirational BLOCKS program (ABP), which was launched on January 7, 2023, focuses on improving management and increases the quality of life of citizens in the most difficult and relatively undeveloped blocks in the country. The program strategy revolves around consolidation of existing schemes, defining the results and vigilant monitoring of progress through 40 key performance indicators (KPI) in five sectors – health and nutrition, education, agriculture and allied sectors, infrastructure and social development.
The collector of the district district of Mahabubabad Adwait Kumar Singh congratulated officials at the level of block to their success and said, “It’s a proud moment for the Mahabubabad district. I have already issued a clear instructions for strategic and transparent use of these funds to reconcile five key topics and performance.”
ABP colleague H. Srinath added that the block would focus on achieving complete results in the care of the mother and the care of children, eradication of tuberculosis and unsurpassed screening of the disease, which improved Aayog’s niti indicators for farmers, providing quality education and use of Anganwadi tasks in identifying in children.
Tiriyani Block of Kumuram Bheem Asifabad District ensured the highest position in the first Delta ranking in ABP announced in December 2023.
