Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday (April 29, 2026) inaugurated the Ganga Expressway in Hardoi district, marking a key milestone in the country’s massive infrastructure rollout.
PM Modi laid the foundation stone of the project on 18 December 2021 in Shahjahanpur, with construction starting in April 2022. The expressway was reportedly first envisaged in 2007 during the tenure of then Chief Minister Mayawati and was revived in 2019 under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
