The Indian Community in Canada has recently organized Grand Ganga Aarti on the banks of the Mississauga Credit Greek to re -create the spiritual experience of the well -known Aartis in Varanasi, Rishikesh and Haridwar.
The event took place at the Erindale Park at the beginning of this week and Radio Dhishum was organized. According to the Indian Consulate in Toronto, the ceremony was attended by Sanjeev Saklani and represented the consulate.
“Sanjeev Saklanani was represented by a consulate in Ganga Aarti, a soulful evening of divine singing and pious mantras on the banks of the Erindale Park, Mississauga, organized by @radiodhishum,” wrote the consulate on social media and shared photos of the event.
The video from the ceremony shared by the Instagram user Priyanka Gupta has captured rituals carried out by the river.
“Of all these 10 years in Canada, we experienced the best evening yesterday, something has developed. Not on Ghats Varanasi and Haridwar, but just here in Canada,” Mrs. Gupta wrote in her headline.
She added: “Life abroad does not mean we have embarked on who we are. In fact, it deepens the bond. The soulful singing” Har Har Gange “is echoing through the park and devoted to the traditional clothing we have witnessed sacred gang Aarti, a slice of India.
The video quickly gained attention online and caused mixed reactions. While many appreciated the efforts to maintain Indian traditions alive overseas, others questioned the suitability of the ritual by the river that is not associated with the gang.
“What beautiful coverage. We are so impressed when we hear it,” one user said. Another wrote: “Har Har Gange. What does this reel feel like.”
However, the criticism also emerged. “Do you mean it?
The fourth added: “PLEASE PLEASE.
Despite the divided views, this event emphasized how cultural and spiritual traditions continue to be accepted by an Indian diaspora, even thousands of kilometers from home.
