A three -member gang involved in theft of Palladia carbon from pharmaceutical companies in several countries was on Wednesday 23 July charged with the police Sangareddy. Approximately 38 kilograms worth 1.52 crore chemical, a mild hydrogenation catalyst, of which was confiscated by the CCS and IDAs.
The arrests were identified as AMOL BAP JAGADE, 29, supplier of work from Pandharewadi in Pune, Maharashtra, Ravindra Bhagwan, 29, Bhigwan, Maharashtra and Ganesh Mahadev Rathod, 28, Medical merchant, Pune. Prime accused, sambashivud, still running.
The district SP Paritosh Pankaj said that the gang has been involved in several thefts of pharmaceutical companies in the last few years. “The arrest was associated with a case reported on the night of December 1, 2024, when Palladium carbon from M/S Rampex Labs pvt. Ltd. based in St. Cooperative Industrial Estate, under the jurisdiction of IDA Bollaram,” said the three near Kazipally Crossroad, Orr Service. Wednesday.
“He previously worked in more pharmaceutical companies and had a detailed knowledge of the value and storage of Palladia carbon. After resigning from his work in Pune and returning to Hyderabad, he began to collect information about companies dealing with chemicals.”

The gang previously stole 6.11 kilograms of Palladium from Rampex Labs in 2022, 35 kilograms from the Newland company in Guntapapally in 2023 and 127.350 kilograms from the area Life Sciences in Sadashivpet at the beginning of this year. They are also suspected of being involved in chemical theft across Karnataka, Maharashtra and Gujarat.
Other cases associated with the gang include 8 kilograms of Palladium from Rampex Labs, 6.11 kilograms from Ida Bollaram, 110 kilograms and 55 kilograms of dry palladium from Sadashivpet, 35 kilograms from Gummadidala and 16.81 kilograms from the New Town. The gang is also associated with the theft of 5 kilograms of sodium gluconate worth 2.95 ₹ Lakh in Gujarat, 7.55 kilograms of Brinj chemical powder worth 22 Lakh in turmeric and 18 kilograms of chemical powder worth 2.7 Lakh in Mumbai at the beginning of this year.
