The five -member gang was arrested on Tuesday by Jolarpet Police for killing the retirement staff before the previous hostility a few days ago.
The arrested persons were T. Bharath, 24 years, the victim’s cousin, and his friends B. Venkatesan, 24, C. Vasanthakumar, 23, Akbar Basha, 21, and the Sultan, 20, from Jolarpet Town and the adjacent village.
According to the police, K. Chakaravarthy (41), who was released from the army a few years ago, was in a bad condition with his mother’s uncle G. Thimmararayan (65) over the land dispute. In February, the duo got into an argument during which he blocked Thimmarayan to death.
Police arrested Chakaravarthy, who came out a few days ago on a conditional bail. Bharath revealed his father’s death together with his friends, captured Chakravarthy near his village and attacked him to death. Then they fled from the place.
Based on orders Tirupattur SP, Shreya Gupta, special teams charged the gang of Tirupattur.
