Hyderabad’s largest participant festival Ganesh Immersion headed to a successful climax, because more than 2,32,520 idols were immersed in September (September 6) in six different Zones of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. The sea of mankind with more than 30 lactic persons gave the streets from Balapuru at the southern end of the city to Alwal in the north. The highlight of the spiritual social event was in Khairatabad, where one of the highest idols was moved in the morning to be immersed in Lake HussAains at 13:20
The streets were lined with kiosky established by religious charity organizations and other social groups providing food and drinks passing devotees.
The roads in Hyderabad wore an abandoned appearance because the vehicle movement was limited to the ganesh immersion procession. The metro trains were packed and the platforms overflow when they were devoted to the three stops in Iram Manzil, Khairatabad and Lakdi Ka Pul. On the streets that ringed the historic Lake Hussaainsagar, where most of the processions closer, there was an air carnival with people dressed for this occasion. When the Ganesh procession moved the street near Bhavan’s phone, the woman saw a television cameraman and made him point to her son. “I want my son to see everyone in our family,” said Sabitha Goud, who came with her family in the morning. “I clicked on photos and videos, but getting it on TV where everyone would watch is what I wanted my family to experience,” said the woman who came from Yousufguda with her family. Another person lifted a young boy on the shoulders of a young boy who prayed and recited “Ganesh Maharaj Ki Jai” several times as Shutterbugs clicked.
When the police drones flew through the sky, the department shared links to tracking the procession by immersion from multiple points in the sky. Later, the Minister of Social Care BC and Minister for Hyderabad Ponnam Prabhakar took the sky in a helicopter accompanied by civil and police officials to check the proceedings.
At the end of the day, Hussaainsagar looked like a confused miracle with thousands of lights illuminating water surfaces and the road around it.
