The ongoing Gandhi Shilp Bazaar, which showcases a wide range of handicrafts and handloom products at JSS Mysuru Urban Haat in Hebbal, attracts drawing enthusiasts.
Nearly 50 stalls have been set up offering traditional craft items directly from artisans representing various states.
Handcrafted products are a major highlight of the fair, allowing customers to purchase items directly from artisans at affordable prices.
Among the attractions are clay artefacts and terracotta works created by Halesh of Ramanagara district. His ceramics, including clay pots and decorative designs, have received an encouraging response, a press release said.
Equally captivating is the metalwork of Pusharam Ramawat from Jodhpur, Rajasthan, whose craft pieces are attracting the attention of craft enthusiasts. Visitors are also drawn to the stall of Shobharani from Venkatagiri, Andhra Pradesh, which displays exquisite Kalamkari sarees.
The Expo showcases a diverse range of traditional products, including wood carvings from Karnataka, the famous Channapatna dolls, paintings and decorative artworks, Kanjivaram silk sarees from Tamil Nadu, decorative jute-based clothing, wall hangings and handmade carpets by artisans from Delhi.
The exhibition will run until November 20 and will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., the release said.
