Gaganachukki Jalapathhsava, which is to be held on 13 and 14 September, will be completely free from plastic, the MLA for Malavalli PM Narendraswamy said.
On Friday, she focused on a press conference near the venue of Gaganachukki Jalapathhsava or the Festival of Waterfalls in Mandya, Mr. Narendraswamy, who is also chairman of Karnataka State Control Board, said the stalls and shops at the venue were strictly warned against plastic plastic.
All measures were taken to provide a quality breakfast, lunch and dinner to the public, which participated in a two -day Jalapathhsava, which will be organized in a large way with a grant of 2.5 GBP Crore from the Ministry of Kannada and Culture and the Ministry of Tourism.
The authorities have been given instructions to ensure that no shortcomings in food administration during the festival. “Meals will be organized similarly to meals served during Kannada Sahitya Sammelan, which recently held in Mandya,” he said.
A total of 40 counters will be open to ensure smooth food distribution.
Emergency ambulances, 60 toilets and sitting arrangements for about 25,000 people were made, he said.
Bus facility
A free bus service will be provided on both days of the festival. About 50 buses were organized with parking facilities near the venue.

Water sports
The state government has a proposal to launch water sports in Gaganachukki. Private organizations will be allowed to carry out water sports at the venue that will generate employment to local residents and at the same time promote tourism, Mr. Narendraswamy said.
At the press conference were present deputy Commissioner Mandy Kumar, CEO Mandya Zilla Panchayat Kr Nandini, Chief Director of Police Mallikarjun Baladandi and other officials.
