Sri Tontad Siddarama Swami of Gadag condemned the statement of Sri Adrushya Kadasiddeshwar Swami of Kaneri Math and denied his allegations.
“Seer Kaneri Math made some allegations against me and Gadag Tontad Math in a recent meeting in Bagalkot district. He claimed that I insulted the Bhagavad Gita. But these are false and baseless. Neither I nor our Math have ever insulted any text of any religion. On the contrary, we published Sharde Chandriwaid Gita and Shardesh Chandridharma Gita Seer Kaneri Math also claimed that Gadag Tontad Math published a Kannada translation of the Marathi Quran.This is not true.We have published a Kannada version of a Hindi work called Islam Dharma Sandesh by Vinob Bhave.
“It is unfortunate that seer Kaneri Math continues to make such a statement despite being reprimanded by the Karnataka High Court and the Supreme Court. He is making baseless allegations and defaming others and spreading hatred by pitting people of one religion against another. This is the third time he is trying to defame our character through such false accusations against the state. All these false allegations are people’s accusations. Malicious thinking, which are meant to insult our institutions,” said seer Tontad Math.
