Future City will serve as a compass for the country: TPCC chief
HYDERABAD
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Goud on Saturday said Future City will serve as a “compass for the country” and slammed BRS MLA and former minister T. Harish Rao for his comments.
In an informal interaction with the media on Saturday, Mr. Goud slammed the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA for what he called a lack of foresight and said the city’s geographical boundaries had not been expanded despite growing needs. “If Hyderabad expands, the development of the state will follow,” he said, taking issue with BRS leader T. Harish Rao’s remarks, asking if he believed the city did not require further development.
He said the Congress government in the state was continuing several schemes started by the previous decision.
On party matters, he said the names of the working presidents have already been sent to the All India Congress Committee (AICC) and announcements will be made soon. He added that expansion of the cabinet is the chief minister’s prerogative and clarified that he has no role in the process.
