
On Monday, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned from his post with an immediate place to cite medical reasons.
He sent his resignation to the President Droubadim Murmu.
Dhankhar, 74, took over the office in August 2022.
Here’s what Jagdeep Dhankhar said in a resigns letter
In order to prefer health care and follow medical attention, I hereby resign as the vice -president of India, which is immediately effective in accordance with Article 67 (a). (A) of the Constitution.
I am expanding my deepest gratitude of your Excellency – Hon’ble President India for her steadfast support and soothing wonderful work relationship we maintained during our work.
I express my deep gratitude to Hon’ble to the Prime Minister and the respected council of ministers. The cooperation and support of the Prime Minister was invaluable and I learned a lot during my office.
The warmth, trust and affection I received from all members of the parliament could ever weigh and built into my memory.
I am deeply grateful for the invaluable experience and observations I have acquired as a vice president in our great democracy.
During this important period, it was privileges and satisfaction to testify and participate in remarkable economic progress and unprecedented exponential development. There was a real honor in this transformation era of the history of our nation.
When I leave this esteemed office, I am full of pride in global rise and phenomenal successes in Bharat and hold the unwavering confidence in her brilliant future.
