Sangita Sarkar left Calcutta shortly after the pandemic, and now she has returned – only then, she gave food for Zomato during locking and now controls the game. For her, the bridge between the two phases was the National School of Drama (NSD).
“I was a alreedy and Theater Artiste When I Joined Zomato. I Had Graduated from Rabindra Bharati University and Was Part of the Theater Group Bohurupee. I Joined Zomato During the Lockdown Mainly to Observes People Closely and Improved Skills HELP THOSE WHO RELED ENTIRELY ON THEATRE FOR A LIVING, ”MS. Sarkar, Who Has Been An Actor But Is Directing and Play for the First Time, Told the Hindu.
The game called Moonlight is an adaptation of veteran Marathi’s playwright Mahesh Elkunchware’s work Sonata and is presented on the evening of July 1 at the Tapan Theater in Kalighat. Mrs. Sarkar is about three women, free of choice, to live together and friendship and trust between them.

Mrs. Sarkar says she was still at school when she first contacted the NSD and hoped to move from one school to another, just to be told that she had to be a graduate to apply for admission. At that time she took the theater and drama Kolkata’s Rabindra Bharati University. In 2019 she asked for a place in the NSD and a month later Covid-19 came.
“This is one period I don’t want to think about, and yet I can never forget it. That was at a time when people couldn’t reach people were trapped in their homes. Doctors,” said Mrs. Sarkar.
Belgharia’s inhabitants spent about six months of work for Zomato at the beginning of 2021 and gained a valuable opportunity for human interactions, which otherwise was missing at the time. “When the delivery person enters the restaurant and when the customer enters – the way the owner of the restaurant asks me to wait in and offered me, and asked me if I ate. This is one gesture I can never forget,” Sarkar said.
At the beginning of 2022, she joined the NSD, and this experience, like her work for Zomato, proved to be an insight into human behavior. “The NSD has expanded my horizons. It got up to me. Once you are there, you get up over the caste, language, religion.
She remembered her most memorable moment in Zomato and how it associated with her life as an artist. “Once, when I rang the bell, the door was opened by a very young girl. She was surprised to see that a woman came to give food on a scooter. Her appearance was amazing and admiration. I never forget it. In fact, we were asked to do a” happy moment “. Sarkar said.
