Recently, actress Malayalam Navya Nair had to pay a huge penalty of Australian dollars of 1980 (approximately £1.14 Lakh) at the International Airport in Melbourne for the transport of flowers.
The incident occurred when the actress arrived in Melbourne to attend Onam celebrations organized by Malayali Association in Victoria.
On their arrival, the airport authorities in Melbourne discovered about 15 centimeters Jasmine Flowers in her bag. According to Australian biological safety and customs laws, the import of fresh flowers and plant materials is strictly prohibited.
Given that violations can represent serious threats for agriculture and environment of the country, the Australian Ministry of Agriculture was fined by Navya Nair 80 Australian dollars.
After the incident Navya shared a light video on the social media and changed the fine in the moment of self -confidence.
In the video you can see at the airport in Melbourne, which eats food, starts for years, shops and elegantly walks around the traditional sari Keraral, decorated with jasmine flowers in the hair.
The video is marked: “Visual elements just before I was fined.”
Navya has been active in the entertainment industry for more than two decades. She made her debut in 2001 with Ishtam and continued to recognize through films like Mazhathulikkilukkam and Kunjikkoonan.
Items prohibited at Australian International Airports
According to Australian Biological Security and Customs Laws, there is a long list of items that are prohibited by runs across 100 categories, with different subchapters.
In the “Festivals” section include floor heads like Diwali, Lahri and Rakhi.

-Jata, which are made of feathers, such as jackets, sleeping bags, pillows and blankets, you need to declare passengers.
