
Sachin Tendulkar led a heartfelt tribute to the Jammu and Kashmir team after they clinched their maiden Ranji Trophy title on Saturday, February 28. J&K beat Karnataka thanks to a 291-run first innings lead in Hubli, which was enough to secure them the title.
On Day 5, Qamran Iqbal and Sahil Lotra scored hundreds to end all hopes of Karnataka securing their 9th Ranji trophy crown. Auqib Nabi was sensational with the ball for J&K picking up five wickets and Shubham Pundir scoring a century in the first innings to play his part in the historic win.

Tendulkar took to the X to pay tribute to the J&K side and talked about how the Kashmir Willow has been a part of his cricketing journey and status from enablers to champions themselves. The Indian legend also praised Nabi for his performances with the ball during the tournament, where he picked up a total of 60 wickets in 17 innings at an average of 12.56.
